Summer Horseback Trail Riding is in full swing!!

Coppler Farm guided horseback trail rides are the best way to enjoy the Upper Michigan scenery! We are located 30 minutes south of Houghton, 30 minutes east of Ontonagon and 15 minutes west of Baraga. We offer rides on Tuesdays and Saturdays booked through our website, but if those days and times don’t work for you, feel free to contact us for other available openings. We offer one and two hour rides, but if you are looking for something longer, we can try to accommodate. We ride all year around and in all weather, unless it’s pouring rain or thunder and lightening are present, then we may need to cancel. Please wear comfortable clothing, and closed toed shoes, preferably shoes with a heel. We provide helmets if desired, riders under 18 are required to wear them. If this is your first trail ride with us, you will be given a short lesson on how to control your horse to make sure you are confident and in control, your safety and comfort is our NUMBER one priority. We are not your typical “dude ranch” trail riding outfit where the horses just go along nose to butt on the same trail every time and the riders just sit there. You will need to direct your horse around, over and through obstacles such as overhanging branches, puddles, logs etc. We choose different routes each time to make things interesting for the riders and the horses. Along the trail, we may see deer, rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, porcupines, many types of birds including eagles, turkeys and ruffed grouse, lots of different types of trees, bubbling creeks and rivers, and frog filled ponds as we go through the fields and woods routes. You are welcome to bring bug repellent, sun screen and water. Small saddle bags can be provided to hold these, your phones and other necessities. We do our very best to give you the best experience, so you will come back and tell all of your friends about us!! Book a trail ride at copplerfarm.com and see for yourself!!
